challenge
Allit is a medium-sized family business with just under 500 employees. Based in Bad Kreuznach, the company is one of the leading manufacturers of reusable system containers for transport, logistics and industry. Sustainability, health and occupational safety are top priorities at Allit. For manual cutting work, the company was therefore looking for a partner who also embodied these values.

solution
The innovative Allit products are made of thermoplastic, including toolboxes and storage containers, as well as sealing rings for beverage bottles. Bags and cardboard boxes filled with plastic granulate are therefore among the most common materials cut at Allit. These have been opened with MARTOR safety knives for many years. Cut injuries are now a thing of the past, which is a major plus in terms of health and safety at work.
In order to cut not only safely but also sustainably, Allit is particularly pleased with the new ECO by MARTOR product family made from recycled plastic. For example, the SECUNORM 175, which is made from 95% recycled material, is now used for cutting cardboard. Thanks to its controlled cutting depth, the packaged goods are optimally protected. The automatic blade retraction reliably protects the user from cutting accidents.
However, the absolute multi-cutters can be found at the bag feeding stations in production, ensuring that the supply of granulate does not run out. The SECUNORM 300 is particularly popular here because it has an ergonomic shape and is easy to use. Its cutting depth of 17 mm is ideal for opening plastic bags. And, of course, it is also sustainable. The black handle is made of 60% recycled plastic, which is also glass fibre reinforced.
»ALLIT AG Kunststofftechnik and MARTOR have enjoyed a long-standing partnership. Thanks to the use of MARTOR safety knives, cutting injuries are no longer an issue for us. The topic of sustainability is particularly important to us, which is why we are delighted to have found knives that support this concept in MARTOR's new product line.«
