Our offer

Our ECO by MARTOR product family made from recycled plastic is growing and growing. But you can also be sustainable with our durable reusable knives made from glass fibre reinforced plastic or aluminium.

01. Product quality

If you know us, you know that quality is in our DNA. Our cutting tools are designed for longevity, durability and resilience. That's how we select the materials and how we assemble them. Because the most sustainable safety knives are the ones that last forever. By regularly performing blade changing, it will always cut like new.

02. Recycled materials

We are converting more and more plastic knives to high-quality recycled plastics. Here, as with our sustainable new products, we use the recycled material "Technyl4Earth" from DOMO Chemicals. Initially, this applied to the black components, but now the blue elements are also gradually being converted. For each product converted, the product carbon footprint is reduced by approximately 80%. You can recognise our ECO by MARTOR safety knives in our communications by the green leaf symbol.

03. Regional procurement

We work with outstanding suppliers, often for years and decades. Our old and new partners are almost always located nearby, which keeps transport distances short – benefiting the environment and securing supply chains. Approximately 85% of our components come from the EU, and around 75% from Germany. We source around two-thirds of all parts from within a radius of just 250 km.

Our ECO products

Sustainable packaging

Over 90% of our individual and outer boxes are made from recycled material and are 100% recyclable. We also package our products in FSC-certified cardboard boxes – foil and plastic are now a thing of the past when it comes to packaging materials.

FIRST STEPS TOWARDS RECYCLING

Even our durable cutting tools eventually reach the end of their product life cycle. This applies to blades even sooner. To ensure that the raw materials used are not lost, we are working on recycling concepts based on coordinated take-back processes. In addition, we consider the issue of "later recycling" right from the start, during product development.
