Our metal detectable safety knives are designed specifically for sensitive industries such as the food and pharmaceutical industries. They reduce two risks at once: foreign object contamination and cutting accidents.
01. Metal detectable
Our MDP safety knives are made entirely or in part from high-quality, metal detectable plastic. The metal handles are rustproof and unpainted, preventing splintering. The blades are rustproof.
02. Occupational safety
The detectability of our MDP knives safeguards your production processes, while the built-in safety technology protects your users. The blades are either concealed or retract automatically into the handle to prevent injury. In addition, the ergonomic design reduces strain on muscles, tendons, and joints.
03. Certified products
Our MDP safety knives meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 and are therefore suitable for direct contact with food. It goes without saying that they are GS-certified.

Individual labelling
In industries prone to disruption, it is essential to handle your own work equipment with particular care. Our knife marking can also help with this. Our MDP knives can be assigned to individual departments and persons by means of engraving or QR codes, which simplifies traceability and organisation as a whole. Cross-contamination in the processing of raw materials, ingredients, etc. can also be prevented.
Optimal calibration
A MARTOR accessory that is equivalent to a special service: our MDP test card set contains five cards with plastic balls of different sizes (between 2.5 and 8 mm) – made from the same metal detectable plastic that our MDP knives are made from. The balls simulate foreign objects, allowing you to test and fine-tune your detectors.
