NKD. WORK SAFETY WITH EVERY FIBRE

challenge

With around 2,200 stores, NKD Group GmbH is one of the largest textile retailers in Europe. In Germany alone, there are 1,350 NKD locations. NKD has been a member of the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles since 2014. It is also committed to the "continuous improvement of labour and social standards". NKD was looking for the right supplier of safety knives to ensure accident-free opening of goods deliveries in its central warehouse and branches, which is how it came across MARTOR.

solution

NKD has been relying on MARTOR's safe and efficient cutting tools for many years now, significantly improving occupational safety and product protection. The SECUNORM 300 is the preferred safety knife in the central warehouse. This all-rounder is suitable for all types of (single-pallet) packaging. In the shops, where individual items of clothing need to be unpacked, the SECUNORM 175 is used. With its low cutting depth, it is an excellent solution for preventing damage to the packaged goods. Both safety knives are equipped with an automatic blade retraction system to protect the user. In addition, they are made predominantly from recycled plastic.

BETTER USER PROTECTION
The risk of cuts has been minimised – both in the central warehouse and in the shops.
LESS OPENING DAMAGE
Protection of garments during unpacking, especially with a SECUNORM 175 with low cutting depth.
SMOOTH PROCESSES
In the central warehouse with the SECUNORM 300, which is suitable for all common cutting materials.
SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION
The safety knives used are not only efficient and durable, they are also made from recycled plastic.
